It's embarrassing when...

...your New Year's Eve party was so successful that you filled your recycling bin with empties the first week and still have tons left. And now you have to put your bin out on January 11th full of empty vodka, whisky, whiskey (yes, they're different) and champagne bottles when everyone else is deep into their puritanical resolutions and empty juice containers.

There are still enough empties left for another couple of weeks or so, but thankfully we're down to just the beer bottles, which don't look quite so incriminating at this time of year.

  1. Sounds to me like you have a life and a helluva nice party! And why would that be embarrassing? Or maybe I'm just selectively deaf and blind to certain puritanist expectations...

  2. It's only embarrassing when all the neighbours are bringing their recycling boxes out at the same time and mine is the only one that clinks!

  3. Sounds like my kind of party! We're actually considering Vancouver as one of our future options, so I may crash one of your parties!

  4. I am so posting one of my favorite anecdotes for you this Monday! I can't believe I forgot about that one [grin]. You'll just have to check on Monday :)

  5. It was a fun party! Anyone who's in town for the next one is very welcome - although we'll probably be in England next Christmas / New Year.

Makita, are you thinking of a permanent move? Drop me an email if you like, I'd be more than happy to talk to you about it!

SG, looking forward to it! I do like the Monday anecdotes!
