My Dad turns 64 today!
Instead of "Happy Birthday To You", we're going to sing this in the restaurant tonight:
My Dad said last night that 64 seemed impossibly old when he first heard this song!
Happy Birthday, Dad!

Are you going somewhere nice? Or is is top seekret?
ReplyDeleteWe're going here. I had the duck last time and it was absolutely stellar. Maybe the black cod or the halibut tonight - but probably the duck again!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your dad.
ReplyDeleteAnd to your mum for putting up with him for so long.
It is the perfect place! Especially at this time of year with sunset over the city. We always took our visitors there - wonderful photo op by the statue of the photo op. I've had black cod there once, and the steak is really good! The Sequoia is nice too. Hope you had a wonderful night :)
ReplyDeleteCheers Bob!
ReplyDeleteYour second point was made several times at their 30th wedding anniversary party a few years ago...
Propter, ah yes, I remember this "sun" thing of which you speak (current weather is better suited to November than to June). There are some small patches of blue sky today, though, and we've requested a table right by the window, so we should still get a good view!
Mr E Man had the steak last time and it was indeed delicious.
The answer to the Beatles question was best attempted by Paul McCartney. He got divorced when he was 64.
ReplyDeleteSo the answer for him is 'No'.
As such your Dad can take heart in the fact he's doing a lot better than Sir Paul.

I mentioned that over dinner :)
ReplyDeleteI had the duck, by the way. Couldn't resist. I tried some steak and pork chop too, and they were both excellent.
Happy B'day to the man who has made such a fine addition to blogosphere possible. Hey I am looking around, we need to find a WC pool soon. I have two proposals:

and I think Facebook has one too actually but have not been able to find it yet. It might be the easiest option though.

Flattery will get you everywhere, Massimo!
ReplyDeleteSomeone else has recommended the my office pool one - I'll try to get something up by tomorrow
