Lest we forget

  1. Damn. Where's the 'like but stop being teary button'?

  2. I forgot you're a day behind us. There was a spitfire in the sky over us yesterday.

  3. I'll get right on that, RPG. (Yeah, I spent large parts of yesterday tearing up at the TV coverage of various ceremonies. I love that Canadians take the day so seriously - it's a statutory holiday, which beats trying to observe two minutes of silence in the middle of a busy lab or office).

Viv, I heard something very old-sounding in the sky, but didn't see exactly what it was because of the nasty weather.

  4. I'm late but "yes".

Four Harvards (WWII-era training planes) went over downtown Toronto on the 11th, in the classic "missing man" formation - three together, one peeling off into the distance.

I was on the subway shortly before, and true to tradition they stopped service for a minute of silence at the appropriate time.
