Snapped 15 minutes ago on my phone, right outside my office.
I wonder what the story is? How angry or otherwise messed up does a person have to be to trash a musical instrument? Especially a child's musical instrument? (For this was a very small guitar). It's analagous to burning books, at least to me...
That hurts my heart :(
ReplyDeleteI know a game that will help you feel better... TAG!
I can't be too sad because I'm inappropriately drunk for whatever time it is in Vancouver. Damn times zones making me out to be a lush when I'm not! I swear I'm not!!!
ReplyDeletemaybe it was a Pete Townshend moment? would that even help?
ReplyDeleteThat's a bummer! Probably his spiteful sibling...they'll hate each other for a while but will eventually get over it.
ReplyDeleteWhoever the guitar belonged to might stay just mad enough to get a regular sized guitar when he/she is older just to show spiteful sib that this didn't crush his/her dreams.
...I like to tell myself stories that have happy endings whenever something bad happens. It's juvenile but it makes me feel better.
Dr A, thanks - I was wondering what my next post would be and now I don't have to think! Wheeeeee!
ReplyDeleteRuchi, you are too funny! I'm glad you're integrating into British culture!
Dr J, it helps a teeny tiny bit to imagine some little kid going into Pete Townsend mode.
AA, I like the glass-is-half-full approach!
