Unfortunately I did not learn my lesson from Monday, and once again had to resort to using my camera phone. And I couldn't get outside - the door to the "top deck" is locked for the winter.
But still, eh? Not bad...
Looking North-West
Looking North
It's a fool who plays it cool by making his world a little colder.
mostly silly, with a 20% chance of science
You totally want to make non-Vancouverites jealous, don't you
ReplyDeleteTotally. I also want everyone to move here (or at least visit) so I can take them for a beer.
ReplyDeleteI was lucky to catch the light at the best time. I sit with my back to the window (4th floor, North facing) and just happened to turn around and catch a glimpse of the setting sun hitting the downtown buildings. So I grabbed my phone and bolted for the elevators...
p.s. I'll be right back up there on the first sunny day with snow on the mountains...
ReplyDeleteYou are making me feel homesick for the pacific northwest. lovely pictures.
ReplyDeleteSorry... come and visit, I'll buy you a beer.
ReplyDeleteThose are nice for phone pics, better than most of the ones I've tried! A *very* nice view. When should we all move up? ;)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Cath.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm warning you now... I *will* be coming to Vancouver one day. My husband visited the city years ago and raves about it. We always talk about visiting it together one day...
I'm homesick too - and I haven't ever been to Vancouver...
ReplyDeleteWaaah, beautiful ...
ReplyDeleteReading your blog I miss Vancouver more and mroe each day. Thanks for the wonderful pictures! I hope I can visit in 2009.
Fabulous view. Too flat around here to get anything this spectacular...
ReplyDeleteView from my office is not as nice... dined at a place called Nam last night -- nice.
ReplyDeleteSF, what can I say, the iPhone rocks! If you want to move up you might want to wait for the property market to sink a little lower...
ReplyDeleteBM, just let me know when you're coming!
Lisbeth, Nina and HG - sorry...
Okham, are you staying downtown? I haven't been to Nam, but I used to live in that neighbourhood. Mmmmm, Kits, I do miss it sometimes. We were at another vegetarian place last week called the Foundation, on Main and 6th. I've been a few times now and it's great - my veggie friends say they like it better than the Nam. Even the avowed carnivores out for our veggie friend's birthday were raving about the food!
Believe it or not I am staying at a theological college on campus... my host drove last night.
ReplyDeletegorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSweet! Like a Trojan horse kinda deal.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. What time did you take the picture? It must get dark there pretty early now.
ReplyDeleteAbout 4pm. Counting down the days until it starts getting lighter again!
ReplyDeleteaww.....
ReplyDeletethat made my day yesterday. Lovely!
goog luck with the skiing. Soon I tell you, soon I will see snow (I'm keeping my fingers crossed at least.)
I've got my fingers crossed for you too!
ReplyDeleteIt's pics like this that really make me miss the NorthWest (even though I haven't been North of Seattle), minus the rain or winter darkness. Sign me up for a summer visit?
ReplyDeleteWhat, don't you ski?! ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteAlas, it is currently rather unbeautifully rainy... I think there might be mountains behind all that cloud, but I really can't say for sure.
ReplyDeleteI only sort of ski (have only tried on a real mountain twice), but I definitely love snow. And every time you post pictures, Vancouver gets bumped up on my list of places to go. Some day I will make it, just hope you still live there!
ReplyDeleteI'm not planning to move any time soon!
