12 Months of VWXYNot?

In the absence of any real blogging, here's my version of DrugMonkey's meme: the first sentence of the first post of each month in 2008.

Please don't expect any coherent blogging for a while...

Last week's party featured two similar stories that stirred up some very different (and slightly ambivalent) feelings.

I'm more often silly than not

So I had this crazy hilarious dream last week, but decided to keep it for April Fool's day.

Yes, I finally managed to get a music night going.

The Euro championships are about to kick off in Austria and Switzerland this weekend.

In truly appropriate fashion, I am spending today finalising and signing my citizenship application.

I'm sure you've all noticed the new additions to my blog roll (because you all watch this page like a hawk, instantly noticing every minor alteration and waiting on the edge of your seats for an explanation, right?).

It was Mr E Man's birthday yesterday - he is now officially old (37).

My goodness, tidying your computer room certainly does bring a lot of junk to the surface!

I came across this book through a rather unusual channel - the author, Raymond Clark Lutz, emailed me after reading one of my blog posts and deciding that I reminded him of one of the characters in his new novel.

The Science Canada blog has directed me to some very interesting articles recently, and as a result I had a whole post planned on how the new US government might impact on Canadian environmental policies.

  1. Limerick competition was hilarious... that is when I stumbled in this blog :-)

  2. But somehow you did not enter the competition...?!

After EcoGeoFemme also linked to that post this week, I'm thinking that maybe I should run another competition. It was fun!

  3. I'm intrigued. Now i am going to have to find this post.

  4. Limericks? The original ones are here and the resulting competition is here.

I promise to respond to all respectful non-spam comments! Don't be shy! Oh, and please don't type my surname in your comments; I know you all know what it is, but I'd prefer Google to rank other pages before this blog.
